Wow.......

Let me start by saying thanks to all who commented on my last post! 36 in total!!!! That is a new record for me!!!!! I am amazed at all the wonderful people I have "met" through this blog and so appreciate your visiting me!!!!!
I am still here and have been stitching unfortunately have not taken any recent pictures. So I posted a picture a dear friend sent from about 2 years ago. I can't believe I was that blonde......but I was. I do like the length so that is my new goal. ... And yes that is DH and my friend Andrea. We met under extraordinary circumstances and have remained friends for what feels like forever! She is firmly embedded in my heart as is her family!!!!

As I said I have been stitching and all will be revealed in another post.....so please bear with me. I truly hesitated writing at all since I didn't have pictures but my need to post won out. My Cinderella Sampler is coming along and I did start a Salem Sampler and am thinking of another new start ..one of PR's freebie fairies. Trouble is I have a low level migraine that is messing with my sleep...either I sleep not at all or too much......so it was an afternoon nap for me today so I'm sure I'll be up into the wee hours tonight......

I want to say hello to Deb who hasn't been feeling well lately! My thoughts are with you and will e-mail or call soon.

PS ....TOTF is still at the framers but she will be home soon and I'll post a picture then.

I'm off to stitch a bit and grab a cup of tea.............but first I received this from Karen in an email and wanted to share it with everyone so please indulge me :

"Remember...a layer of dust protects the Wood beneath it.

'A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on thefurniture.'

I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things

were just perfect - 'in case someone came over'

Finally I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!

NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the 'condition' of my home.

They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun. If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.

Life is short. Enjoy it! Dust if you must ....... but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter, bake cookies or a cake and lick the spoon or plant a seed, or ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time . . . . with beer to drink , rivers to swim and mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead. (and stitching to be stitched...my addition)

Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain.

This day will not come around again. Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. . . And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust! It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived."

I am grateful for lazy days just wandering around...

An Anniversary of Sorts.....

I really should be at work today......but I had such a migraine. I think it's been coming for about two weeks now if that's possible. I am finally feeling better after having to leave work at 1 pm instead of the usual 7:30pm. I have been taking meds every 8 hours and sleeping lots.......so no stitching but hopefully later. No pool either since the bright sun is still bothering my eyes. It feels as if I'm walking through a cloud or tissue paper...does that make any sense??? It's just how I am post migraine. Thanks for listening!

I have some progress to show and with any luck PR's Fairy Celebration 3 will be done by tonight! But in the meantime here she is before I add the beads.....my little personalization since she doesn't call for beads but I've done it for the first two and since eventually they will be all framed on one wall together I want them to share the beading! Here she is.... She is on PTPlus 32ct Kermit linen using a purple overdyed #1158 from Threadworks. So stay tuned for the finish in the next few days! I'm not sure I posted my start on The Tower of Stoneywood....a HAED.....so here it is.... Isn't it pretty! I see many hours devoted to it!!!!

Oh wait it's my blogaversary today!!!!! It's 2 years that I've been blogging!!!!! I have "met" many wonderful people and must say that the stitching blogging community is wondeful! Now if I was a bit more organized I would have thought of something fun to do but alas I didn't......it's just me stitching and blogging in my way!

Oh and I spoke with an old friend from NY today! That was really a bright spot since we've known each other for over 20 years and have been dear friends for almost that long! It's amazing with friends like that you can just pick up the phone and no matter how much time has passed it's like we spoke yesterday!!!!! He reminded me of the fun stuff we used to do in NYC and instead of making me sad I smiled!!!! His one comment was "you made yourself happy" and it's true. I may see him on my NY trip in a few weeks anyway I hope too!!!!!! I have another friend who is having surgery tomorrow so please keep her in your thoughts! I wish I could be there with her but I'll be there in spirit.

Off to watch DVD's and possibly stitch......

I am grateful for friends old and new and the joy they bring to my life......

:( No pictures.....

It seems I manage to post weekly..not good!!! So tonight's will be short since I am aching to stitch! I want to thank everyone for their kind and thoughtful sentiments over the last few weeks! We may not have met in person but I cherish each and everyone of you as a dear and genuine friend! And I know when I come here that the love and support is so amazing that I am astounded! I feel so lucky to "know" so many of you! I may not be commenting the way I should or even want to but know that I am reading your blogs faithfully!

I went to stitching group at SP today as is usual for my Wednesday and once again I had so much fun! I definitely feel the love and support there! And of course I came home with stash.......no surprise there!!!! I actually got a chart that fits a piece of my fotm club Ptplus material !!! I am working on 4-5 designs in a really loose rotation basically what or who calls my name the loudest. Today it was a Christmas tree that I have yet to get a picture of ......I will take one this weekend. It's done on 40ct linen supposed to be 1 over 1 but I knew it would remain a UFO so I am working it 1 over 2 and loving every minute of it! A picture will be coming soon so stay tuned!!!!

I am grateful for my friends and the joy they bring me ..........

A new finish and my 102nd post

I don't know how it happened but I missed my 100th post...I think it's because I posted that Bono video. Well if it was for that then it was worth it. Now on to my finish! I finished Alphabet Sampler on Monday, April 30th but only now have a chance to post it. It's been a busy week. It's finished on PTPlus 32ct lugana Whimsey done with WDW over dyed floss in Purple Majesty. So here it is...... Again the fabric is a bit lighter IRL. Here's another picture..... Well it seems like blogger is not being very cooperative tonight so I am at a one picture limit! UGH!!!! I also started PR's Fairy Celebration......but the Dinky Dyes thread I picked "bottlebrush" was way too bold for the material so after 3 rows I pulled it out and picked anoter DD thread and am restarting it tonight...same material PTPlus 32ct belfast Crystal Fresco. As soon as I have some progress I will post a picture! I also received PR's "Queen of the Fairies" in the mail and then decided after some welcome enabling to get the Venus threads! So I am awaiting their arrival and then I will pick out some fabric and begin her since she has been whispering my name ever since I first laid eyes on her!

I did something really fun yesterday!!!! An adventure of sorts! I met a fellow blogger at my LNS -Stitchers Paradise. I met Margaret and it was so much fun. I have known that there are stitching groups there but me not being a morning person usually have never really gone during those times. I hope Margaret doesn't mind me linking to her blog. But she knew I was going on Thursday with some friends and left a comment wondering if I could make it on Wednesday and I was already planning to be there! Serendipity!!!! I had so much fun and now am planning to join the group on a routine basis...the ladies I met were all so nice and helpful! And Margaret actually found the new color for Fairy Celebration! So thank you so much my new found friend!!!! And on to today the 3 new stitchers I took to SP.....it was so fun to see the craft through new eyes and be a "mentor" as one of them called me!!!! We even have stitching parties by my pool planned! So as you can see it has been a busy week. All this with a migraine that keeps coming back but I won't let it win! I spent a little time this afternoon in my swing reading. I may have to take tomorrow if this feeling doesn't leave. Oh and on a totally non stitching note we have tickets to go see Johnny Mathis next Friday!!!! I can't wait...I grew up listening to him and he still makes me swoon!!!! We even have tickets to a meet and greet!!!!!
PS.... of course I also acquired a bit more stash.....I'm hopeless! I did start a wishlist but haven't put anything on it yet.....soon.

PSS....an SBQ.....Today's SBQ was suggested Kathryn and is:How many WIPs do you have? How many UFOs do you have? When does a WIPbecome a UFO?The permalink to this post is: http://blog.blondelibrarian.net/archives/2007/05/sbq-wips-and-ufos/

As of right now I have just one PR's Fairy Celebration but will soon have 2. I have about 5 that I should be working on but have a hard time with rotations so I'm not sure if they are WIP's or UFO's. I do have a bag full of definite UFO's......they are posted in my webshots album if you care to have a look. The last part of this when does a WIP become a UFO.....I'm not sure of since I have a few that are on the edge of that fence...LOL

That's it for now...I'm off to stitch and fight this migraine.......

I am truly grateful for finishes and friends.....
