It won't go away.....

Well it been days and this migraine won't quit! It gets better and then worse even taking to my bed with an icepack didn't help.... I even missed bowling last night the sheer thought of hearing all those bowling bowls being thrown just scared me with this migraine! I have taken every drug prescribed and now I think it's just toying with me.....I will not give in!!!!!!

I have pictures to share ...first my haircut! Everyone seems to love it and so do I! I've blown it out twice and it is so easy!!!!! Here goes..... and another

I took these myself today and I actually like them! What do you think??? I feel so good with shorter hair!!!!! Sometimes spur of the moment is good!!!!

And some stitching updates and stash....... I started Pretty Pumpkins by Glendon Place so here is an early WIP...so far I am loving it.....it's flowing nicely! And another... closer look! The fabric is PTPlus 32ct Heritage linen and it is lighter IRL!!!!

I got the most wonderful gift from my SIL and BIL ...a giftcard to my LNS Stitcher's Paradise and they were most generous!!!! I got many things including the companion piece to Cirque des cercles called Triangular!!!! I picked out the most gorgeous overdyed green and then went for the fabric...an overdyed purple!!!! What do you think...I am loving it! Here goes and another...the fabric is lighter IRL....as is the floss..... I don't know when I'll start it but I'm ready!!!

Oh and they also sent me a book that I wanted..... The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold! It is so good and just gets better! I'm about half way through and highly recommend it as did Deb . I read her other two books The Lovely Bones which was spectacular and her memoir Lucky which I think is necessary reading . It helps one heal and even feel again!!!! I actually met her at a book signing while I still lived in NY and she did a reading and then graciously signed my copies and we chatted about just how life altering I felt her books were to me! I am hoping beyond hope that she makes a stop in Las Vegas!!! I would be so thrilled to see her again!!!!

I'm off to a cup of Prince of Wales tea and some stitching if this migraine will let me.....Thanks for reading this far and of course for commenting! I so appreciate them all!!!!!

Finally...

I am happy to report that we picked up my car today!!! Only about 6 weeks later and it's perfect. The insurance was still dragging their heels but hubby dealt with the situation and Harry (my car's name) is sitting in his spot in our garage!!!!

I had a wonderful visit with my brother and niece.....2 shows, Red Rock and lots of pool lounging and playing!!!! I have to say that the Cirque show we saw KA was good not great although the stage was phenomenal at times it was vertical and they were performing on it!!! My only issue and it's mine is that it's like work figuring out the storyline...and out of the 4 of us ...I got it. Dinner at Wolgang Puck's was outstanding****. I miss them so much but we manage to keep in touch!!

I have been stitching just haven't updated the photos lately... I am hearing a UFO/WIP calling to me and it's not Sleeping Beauty as I had thought it was but Petal Fairy! So as soon as I have a free scroll rod or maybe not she is coming out!!!! I am also thinking of doing a HAED or Mystic Stitch design!!! I may be ready.....what is your opinion?? Tomorrow is stitching group at SP so I'm bringing the patterns and will ask the sage advice of the ladies!!! Oh and tomorrow night also is the start of our bowling league!!! So it'll be a busy fun day!!! Oh Storm (puppy) and I had a great walk around the neighborhood tonight after Pilates....I love watching her and seeing what she find to be interesting or smell worthy! I finally mastered another Pilates move called "long spine short spine" that felt good! Off to stitch and a big cup of Earl Grey.........

I am grateful for hubby and how he cares for me..........

Just stuff

I slept in today. And have had a really lazy day. Just did a few quick errands actually one errand and then went to my monthly appt for my eyebrow wax! I've been getting them waxed for so long that it no longer hurts! And it seems that blogrolling is working ...but maybe not since it updated eyeryone including the ones who have no new posts. Very confusing but it may mean they are working on it so that's a good sign...........

And I have a new banner just below my profile! So cool! It's for a new online cross stitch store that has been in my sidebar for a while. She contacted me a while back after finding my blog and seeing that I was linking her site. She is really nice and through e-mails back and forth a new banner was born! I'm just amazed that I was able to add it to my sidebar on the first try and after work at that.... So if you like visit. It's a fun online store with lots of cool stuff! And a discount is being offered.....we can never have enough sources for our stash acquistion!!!

I plan on stitching tonight after bowling. Yes I bowl....we're on a league and have been for 3 years. It's a dedicated night out for us and we get to have some couple time. I just wish I bowled better. LOL ...... I will post my new fabric tomorrow including the new Mirabilia "Lady of the Mist" and her hand dyed fabric. She really is beautiful and I may have to start her ..... I have turned into a serial starter. Hi my name is Julie and I am a serial starter...........oh well. They say admitting a problem is half the battle. More tomorrow

I am grateful for a working gas fireplace...we got it fixed today!!!!
