Busy day

I know I promised a new picture of my pretty pink blob a.k.a PR's Fairy Celebration but the day just somehow got away from me..... I started with a visit to SP since I'm working tomorrow or is that today so I won't be able to join the wednesday stitching group. But not to worry I have requested wednesdays off on the next schedule so I will be there each and every wednesday. I picked out a new color for Cirque des Cercles.....still from The Thread Gatherer still silks but in pinks and blues called "Desert Sunset" I think (it's late) but she didn't have enough so she is ordering more to make sure I have enough of the same dyelot. Then it was errands and Pilates.....and helping dear hubby put the new grill together! But the directions say 30-45 minutes in what universe I'd like to know.....But we are close. Then I read a bit....The Boleyn Inheritance is almost finished and it is just so good. And then I stitched on PR's FC!!! Now to bed ..I'm tired and have to work soon.....and the wind is whipping up.... oh and I almost forgot I went to my first EGA chapter meeting on monday evening but more on that later...

I'm grateful for a productive well spent day.....

Sunday and an SBQ

It's my first full weekend off in I really don't know how long and I'm loving it! Yesterday was the Opera.....yes you read right! The Met in NY telecasts to theatres around the country and the world and it was so fun! We can't wait for next season!!! Romeo and Juliet, Hansel and Gretel and Tristan and Isolde are 3 of the 8 that I can remember! The only bad thing is it's at 10:30 in the morning since it's live.... Then it was the end of season bowling dinner. Two completely different things in one day....but it was so fun. There was karaoke which hubby couldn't get enough of!!!! I just cheered him on! They handed out awards both monetary and pins and patches...we got a little of both! And there was dancing too! It was an all around fun day!

And today a couple we've become friends with through bowling is coming over for a pool party!!!! And I plan to stitch before and after! I was too beat yesterday but work was good and I accomplished something good so that makes it all worth it!! Alphabet Sampler is almost done ! and on Thursday I'm going to my LNS to pick out fabric for "Queen of the Fairies." Any suggestions? I'm still contemplating getting the Venus threads for her.... And something exciting I'm introducing 3 new cross stitchers to the shop as well! I want to start them off in the right direction!

I really thought about going on the wagon. I even posted about it but I just couldn't pull it off my willpower is nonexistent I'm not sure I ever had any LOL.... Although I really need to consider it in the future since I'd have to live 2-3 lifetimes to complete all of my stash.....I am nearing the point of saturation though but these designers keep coming out with beautiful pieces. I am considering a wishlist though.....LOL

I am truly grateful for entire weekends off and stitching.........

Sundays thoughts......

Well lets see.....where did sunday go...I was up early watched a little TV (the LV marathon) and napped. The day just seemed to slip away. I'm not sure what's going on but between not being in the Christmas spirit and not having picked up a needle....in what seems like weeks....I know I say I'm going off to stitch and have a cup of tea but something always gets in the way or I just get lazy. Maybe I should just sit down and stitch!!! End of story... end of moppiness (is that even a word??). Tomorrow is Christmas shopping and wednesday is Christmas tree shopping!!!! I told him if we don't go on wednesday then on thursday I'm going to Target to get an artificial white one!! I know I shouldn't have done that but a tiny part of me really wants a white christmas tree...is that tacky??? That always helps to put me in the spirit -the whole tree trimming/decorating process! And the Christmas cards I ordered should be in soon. I did do another trip to my LNS so I'll post that soon.....I really should take pictures off all my stash.....maybe next time DH is in NY! I wouldn't want to shock him to much!!! And it would be a good way to catalog it! I'm hoping he asks what I want so I can send him to my LNS to pick up a gift card.....always a good idea!!!! I will stitch! I will stitch! I will stitch!
