The Star Returns
Mine didn't look quite so perfect but I'm working on it!!! I haven't been able to do it since my surgery in January but today was the day!!!!! I was thrilled as was my instructor!!!!!! My core is getting stronger and I can do more. It makes me confident and empowered (I love that word). On to stitching........I am now the proud owner of Nora's Letter C !!!!! It will be for one of my nieces...she knows who she is!!!!
I just have to find the perfect fabric......time to explore my stash! I am planning to do the letters C, M, K, G (and J for me) as they come out as belated Bridal gifts for my bridal party...it's an idea I've had for a while and at first I was going to do M-designs letters but then Nora stole my heart with her letters.
Next is PR's Fairy Celebration 3....
And here is my progress so far She is being done on PTPlus Kermit 32ct linen with a wonderful purple overdyed from Threadworks!!! I am loving stitching her. A bold color combo but it looks so beautiful!!! I will do FC2 next which is already kitted! And as an FYI Fairy Day is June 24th so let's get our wings ready and celebrate these wonderful beings!!!!!
Next is an update on Cirque...I finished the 3rd page in what seemed like record time.....
This week was week 3 of SP anniversary sale and they had fabric on sale so I managed a few pieces and also 3 scissor fobs (not on sale but what the hey!) from My Big Toe trunk show. A mermaid a castle and Cinderella.....pics next post..........Next week is threads on sale...... Oh and I got a new chart (no surprise there) by Willow Hill Samplings called Cinderella Sampler. I have the perfect fabric (from my stash) and will pick up the threads next week during the sale. I couldn't resist...my sister's nickname for me was Cinderella....I'll explain in a future post. And will add a picture as well of the chart! She will be my next start...
Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me!!!!
I am grateful for the time I had with my sister and my memories..........

I've been bad......
Now onto why I've been bad....I started 2 new pieces just yesterday. I started Bent Creek's The Red Thread and SB's Fear Not! They are both fun and unfortunately no pictures yet. I'm not really sure why I felt the need to add to my current projects but I did. My DH thinks I have too much on the go as it is but it makes me happy!!!! And tonight is Cirque des Cercles turn to be the project of choice!!!! It's voice did get a bit loud.....
Oh and on saturday I went to SP and had some fun. I dropped my brother off at the Wynn Casino since his flight was cancelled the night before due to bad weather in NY. He was so good about it totally understanding my need to stitch and see friends I hadn't seen in 2 weeks. When I was done I picked him up and we went home and I made a good dinner of pasta, fresh sauce and turkey sausages. And then he was on his way home and this time his flight wasn't cancelled.
While at SP I didn't find much to catch my interest from Nashville which truly surprised me! I did get a new pair of scissors from Kelmscott called The Love Scissors and a new needleminder and I completed my Red Thread collection. I promise pictures in the next post.
I did order a new pattern from ?!Who Knew!? called Ocean Curiosity
Isn't she beautiful!!!!! Actually Noreen alerted me to this new design and it's now on order at SP for me!!! Thanks again Noreen!!!! Now to start one of the three....they will wait till I finish an already started design. Oh my that sounded almost sane..... I did say almost.....PS there is still time to vote in the poll in my sidebar. Take a look if you please.....And I'm going back to work starting tomorrow......I can't believe how fast that 6 weeks went. I feel ready to go back but still plan on pacing myself. I work 12 hour days so it's just 3 days a week and I work tomorrow and then I'm off for 2 days.....Wish me luck!
I am grateful for the joy in my life...........

The best husband........
Now on to the explanation of the title of this entry.....I have decided to start a second HAED design and wanted all new floss for it. As we all know Walmart is discontinuing their DMC and has it for 10 cents a skein. My wonderful hubby came along to not 1 not 2 but 3 Walmarts and helped me gather the colors I needed as well as quite a few others....This all happened yesterday. They didn't have them all so I completed my list at Jo-Ann's where they were 4/$1. He is a keeper and was having fun helping me! He really got into the hunt! So far as to separate the skeins at the register since they were insistent on scanning each one individually. He even went through the basket and put colors aside to check with me as to whether I needed those and was thrilled when he found a color I needed! At the second they were still in the carousels and he diligently read out the colors from my list so I could gather them up! When the 3rd store didn't have them he was genuinely disappointed! I do love him so! I know you want pictures of the 2 HAED's so here goes
I always get the e-mails from Silkweaver for their solos but always miss out on them but last week I was on the computer when it arrived and still missed the first one I wanted but managed to get 3 others... they are so soft and pretty!
I am grateful for my stitching and stash and the joy it brings me and of course dear hubby...........

2 posts and 2 finishes
Oh and a Cirque de Cercles update. I went to SP (my LNS) today to pick up some thread for PR's Queen of the Fairies. Yes I know I have the Venus threads but after reading the chart a bit more thoroughly she does require a DMC variation thread and a Rainbow Gallery thread.... I thought my threads for CDC would be in but they weren't so I thought.....I'll just pick another that's how much I want to start!!!! After about 1/2 hour or so of going through the Thread Gatherer assortment and narrowing it down to 2 very nice threads and 1 kinda out there thread. I just couldn't make a decision and since this is going to be such a major piece I decided to wait and luckily two of the wednesday stitching group women were there to help. Besides I really do love the thread that I have on order. So the owner of SP is going to give them a call and see where the thread is and when to expect it. It's not like I don't have anything else to stitch....
I have to add that I love my MIL and am having so much fun with her here!!! Did I mention that she has a younger boyfriend .... well she does and they are so good together. He is a gem. In addition to what I made for dinner he made a broccoli bake that was delicious....And today he's making sauce and pasta.... Not only that but I now have flowers in my poolside planters thanks to him!!! I took pictures so here goes...
I am grateful for my mother-in-law and the good relationship we have....
