In Love/Can't Sleep

Silver Moon Tea © Mirabilia
It's late and I can't sleep so I thought I'd share Nora's newest stellar offering...... Here is Silver Moon Tea © Mirabilia !!!!I am thoroughly and totally in love with the new Mirabilia!!!! I adore her!!!. I love her colors and most especially that tea cup she is holding .  I see a new start in my future!!!! I am thoroughly enjoying this new direction that Nora is exploring in her designs lately!!!

I'm a big tea fan most especially of Earl Grey....one day I'll have to post a picture of my tea cupboard.....it's pretty amazing and I have the backup stash of teas as well I simply wouldn't want to run out!!! I'm sure amazon.com is wondering since I just got an order of 4 bulk boxes......I'm set for a while or at least my hubby  hopes so. A girl has to have her tea! No day is complete without a cup or two at night!!!!

It seems as my WIP's just keep growing.... my poor WIPocalypse list ...no it will get done though may take me longer than initially planned out . Heaven above is next and that seems appropriate.....and now to all a good night!

I have been busy!!!!

I have been stitching and just not finding the time to post! I have to get better at this! I was amazed that my last post was on the 7th.....

My Lady's Quaker is done and she is so pretty and with lots of attitude if I do say so myself!!!! I stitched her on 32ct Country French Latte and used Crescent Colors Cupid!!! Just one color I love monochromatic designs but I had 3 skeins which I thought was enough but even with being a miser with the thread I wa short and the dyelots at my LNS wer way too bright! Two friends even looked in their stash and had some but still too bright...is this post sounding like Goldilocks to anyone else....haha. I went to DMC 815 and it was a near perfect match!!! I used almost an entire skein and I don't believe you can tell where at al! big sigh of relief from me a a prayer to the thread gods was offered! I was truly very lucky!!!!! Here goes with pictures....

Don't you just adore the hands on the hips and her wonderfully bizarre hair!!! These quaker designs are so beautiful in their simplicity....I am quickly becoming addicted to them..In addition to Quaker Christmas which has a November 1st start I added Quaker virtues to my stash and have the silk thread on order.....just 17 skeins should complete it....Now to find a way to work it in....haha Thanks for looking She was stitched in about 3 weeks time more so because of the thread issue but really  I simply could not put her down.....The Gentleman is on the short list to start !!!!!

I also had another start and finish in just  3 days but as I'm not sure if the recipient reads my blog I will have to withhold on posting the finished pics! But I promise to post as soon as she receives it!!!

I am wiped from work today so I'm off to get a cup of tea and cuddling time with puppy......then maybe some stitching .....

Hope everyone is well and I have been reading just not commenting so I truly apologize and hope to comment soon! All of your works are beautiful!!!!!

I am grateful for stitching and the joy it brings an for the may friends I've made beacause of stitching.....

May your needle fly through your fabric....

The sun is out!

I finally got a new look to my blog! I have been wanting to get a new look for a while but was just a bit nervous about the whole process....but while on Shepherds Bush blog I found a great link which you can now find in the upper left hand corner of my blog which made the new look very easy!!!!! I can now change the look at will or maybe seasonally......

I am nearing the end of my days off...I decided to add on at work and not take my vacation days so as to save them for when I need them so I will be working 3 days in a row starting on thursday! I am actually looking forward to it...bizarre I know. I have been feeling rather mopey lately but last night I broke that feeling and stitched on Nora's Alphabet and here is the result... It is actually a bit bigger than I imagined but I am liking it on the fabric I choose which is a PTPlus 32ct Crystal Highland. I tweaked the photo a bit to show the truer colors. The letters are worked in an overdyed silk which I am enjoying! I am planning to work on the long forgotten Mirabilia that I recently pulled out of "the bag that shall not be named".... It is Angel Proclamation and only requires the beads and specialty threads...a silk...... So this is my goal to get it done since it is so close to being done...even the backstitching is done!!!!!!! Wish me luck!

I never did get to my LNS for the preview night or the days afterward. It was raining nonstop and since tomorrow is stitching group I can pick up "Quaker Gone Tropic" then... since it has been inhabiting my dreams of late.....I may have to start it as well.......Today the sun was out!!! The day was perfect!!!

I was tagged by Deb to tell what my 5 addictions are and then to tag 5 other people... so here goes in no particular order....

1.My cross stitching and my ever growing stash acquistion

5.Chocolate...need I say more

Now to tag 5 "lucky" people......

1. Karen 2. Noreen 3. Michelle 4. Kathy 5. Sally I hope you don't mind being tagged!

I'm off to stitch a bit before dinner.....

I am grateful for Pilates and the way it makes me feel.....

May your needle fly through your fabric.........

Okay here it is.....

This is a non picture post. I am here today to admit that I am an official serial starter......that didn't hurt at all and the sky didn't fall in!!! Amazing but true...... I was talking to a friend earlier and she informed me that my sidebar was woefully not current. To which I said you really need to start a blog!!!!! That being said I have updated my sidebar WIP's to include all but 1 and that's only because I don't have a picture of it! So to answer everyone's next question the answer is 21 soon to be 22 with the New Year's start just around the corner! And my rotation seems to be whichever piece is calling to me the loudest.....it works for me!

I hope everyone is having a stitchy sunday and keeping warm since it's freezing here in sunny warm Las Vegas!!!!!!!!

I'm off to cook dinner and stitch while watching movies....and of course a big cup of tea!!!!

I am grateful for lazy days.........

I've been tagged.....

I feel very boring and for days have just wanted to hibernate......no migraines thankfully but just lethargic. I think I stayed in my pajamas for 2 straight days...... I did stitch on Fairy Moon though and am still loving her but that big white skirt is coming........I've been off since saturday unexpectedly when I got my request to be canceled on sunday....can't remember the last time that happened. I think it's the weather and it almost feels like rain.....
So on to the tag...Karen of Gathering Thoughts has tagged me...

2.I love high heels and the higher the better although these days I've been wearing flats
3.I was blonde for 11 years and no I am a deep burgandy redhead and I love it!!!!!!!!

As promised......

Well here it is Sunday and I've had a wonderful weekend off! I went to SP yesterday and stitched with the group and then did some errands including getting a portable daylight lamp for the stitching retreat I'm attending next Sunday! I'm really excited since I've always wanted to attend but life somehow got in the way. This year I get to go!!! Today it's laundry and stitching. The perfect day that will end with a cup of Earl Gray tea and more stitching...maybe a new start! Dare I???

But as promised I have pictures....first of the progress on PR's QotF She is taking wonderful shape! The fabric is paler IRL. I am working on the lacy part of her skirt right now......

Next is the Christmas tree that I picked up during the Christmas in July sale at SP. It a kit and as I said earlier it was supposed to be done 1 over 1 and I definitely started it that way but I just knew it would end up in the UFO pile so I restarted it 1 over 2 after some soul searching! Did I mention that it's on 40ct
Oh and the name is "Be Merry and Bright" by the Heart's Content.

I am grateful for quiet stitching weekends...

Old and New

Well after much work and fine tuning I have my basic old blog back! How do you like it?? I changed the colors and lost some content but I am liking it.....I went with the new "layout" since every time I went to "revert to classic" it dropped by sidebar to the bottom. After about 3 hours it was done. I do love pink so that worked out as well! I'm off to take some headache medicine and maybe stitch...did someone say a cup of tea??

I am grateful for patience........

13 days and no post

I find it so hard to believe that 13 days have passed and I haven't posted. Where does the time go?? I have been stitching and have another finish. I have finished Celtic Cross. And have picked up Cirque des Cercles again and placed it on stretcher bars and my lap frame so it is easier to stitch! This past week or so I've been fighting a cold but not sure I'm winning...I was off on Sunday and slept most of the day. Hopefully it's near the end of it because I'm tired of feeling tired and listless. I worked over the weekend feeling sick and it wasn't fun as it was a busy weekend with lots to do............

Celtic Cross by Mdesigns
PTPlus Crystal Relic
In the Burgandy threads by The Thread Gatherer

The latest finish is for my brother Brian who just had a birthday recently! So I hope you like it Brian. He actually picked out the design and just said do it in red! His favorite color! He saw it about half way done and smiled! Enough for me!
Let me close with an SBQ :
Today's SBQ is:Would you ever stitch one of your BAPs a second time? (This does not include starting over because of mistakes, bad fabric, etc., rather stitching something from the first stitch for a second time.)The permalink to this post is: http://blog.blondelibrarian.net/archives/2007/09/sbq-seconds/
I have thought of doing one or two a second time but there is so much I want to stitch a first time that it just doesn't seem feasible.......I have done some smalls a second even a fourth time this one comes to mind... But it was fun to do!!!!
I want to say thank you to everyone who comments! I do appreciate your stopping by and visiting! I just wish we could share a cup of tea together!
I am grateful for the joy in my life...........

A poll if you like....

Today is a good day! I had a good start with breakfast outside at the new table and chairs while I read my book and even did some work for class later this week... I'm doing the ACLS class finally that I've been meaning to take for a while. I had a crazy week between work and the pre-class for ACLS....the stone fell out of my engagement ring! But luckily I found it and took it to the jewelers that I trust the very next day and he's able to fix it and tell me what was wrong....I was rather perturbed to say the least. I mean I could have lost the stone anywhere and not found it. But my angels were looking out for me and it'll be back in a week to 10 days. I didn't want to leave it but to fix it right I had no choice.... And I am so enjoying reading "The Boleyn Inheritance"....I truly love the way she writes. I try to wait for books in paperback and I just couldn't with this book and am so glad I didn't. I love historical novels lately! I highly recommend reading "The Other Boleyn Girl" first, I read it years ago and loved it!

I put an official poll of sorts in my sidebar so please feel free to vote on it!!! I basically know the answer but it'll be good to see what the poll says by way of everyone's vote..... This slump has a lifeforce of it's own and I'm so very sick of it! I must break it! I remember years ago not even thinking about stitching or what I was stitching....I just picked up my needle and thread and stitched. No matter how tired I was never gave it a second thought and that's not the case now. I have the stash of my dreams now and I will break this slump!!!!!!!! The house is quiet...hubby is at the dogpark so I'm going to pick up needle and thread...maybe I'll take advantage of the extra light and stitch outside for a little while.... a big cup of earl grey and stitching....heavenly....I'll report back and if anyone has any advice...I'm open to it!!!

I'm grateful for nice mornings and books....

I've been tagged.........

I've been tagged by Jamie ! That means I have to share with you six weird things about myself.... here they are and hubby was more than happy to help..... almost too eager.....
1. I like a big teacup! So my fist has to fit inside the cup before I buy them....this goes for coffee cups as well.
2. Cabinet doors have to be closed at all times (hubby likes to leave them opened...........)
3. The peanut butter in the jar must be even all the way around!
4. I don't like talking to strangers on the phone and always check caller ID before picking up the phone!
5. The teabag, sugar and spoon must be in the cup/mug before the water touches the cup/mug to make the tea oh and the sugar and spoon must be in the coffee cup/mug before as well!
6. 13 is my favorite and lucky number
Now, I get to tag six people! :o) Once tagged, please list six weird things about yourself on your Blog and then tag six more people. Please list the people that you have tagged on your Blog along with the rules. So, here it goes:
1. Karen 2. Michelle 3. Karin 4. Kip 5. Vonna 6. Jymisgurl
Well there it is and as for today I took a sick day and stayed in bed most of the day just taking care of me and trying to get rid of this nasty migraine...the last set of pills and icepack seems to have worked! I'm comtemplating another day tomorrow...I'll see later on. I'm going to try and stitch for a little while and have a big oversized cup of tea now LOL! And thanks to Jamie for my new calendar in my sidebar which I just love! My old one was cool but this one is even better!

I am grateful for a day at home doing nothing but resting....
